Big, small, tiny… The Spanish Zarzuela

In the 17th century, during the Spanish Golden Age, Pedro Calderon de la Barca and Lope de Vega were the first authors of zarzuelas, a Spanish lyric-dramatic genre that alternates between spoken and sung scenes.

Today, the genre keeps alive despite all odds throughout centuries.  This documentary shows this typical Spanish theater, as original as diverse.
