Blasco is a documentary that takes us to the non-explored aspects of the life and works of the writer. Despite his death, 100 years ago, his life is, in many aspects, an enigma that stills raises interest beyond Spain.
Agitator in favor of the Republic, writer and journalist, lover, with his double relationship with his first wife, Doña María Blasco and his Chilean lover, Elena Ortúzar, who became later his second wife, also filmmaker. The documentary shows also his decline, in his refugee in the Côte d’Azur (France) where he wrote one third of his work and where he died alone in 1928.
This film follows his passions and contradictions through those who love him and his work, not only in Spain but in places like the United States, France or Romania. Their testimony tells a story, never told before, about the most universal Valencian author.
