Angalia Mzungu ("look at the target"), Isabel Muñoz

Angalía Mzungu, meaning “look at the target” in Swahili is a documentary that deals with the creative and vital process the artist and photographer, Isabel Muñoz, lived during her third visit to Congo. She received twice the World Press Photo and she was awarded with the Spanish Fine Arts Merit Medal.

We go with the photographer to Bukavu, a frontier city with Rwanda, where the existence of minerals like coltan or gold feed a hidden war, financed by foreign countries, with the objective to get those precious resources. Isabel Muñoz’s work is focused on women and girls who live in a violent and cruel environment.
