Bigas Luna, the good host

The documentary turns around the filmaker Bigas Luna and the portray made by his relatives, friends and co-workers and some of the main actors of his movies, as Jordi Mollà or Aitana Sánchez-Gijón.

In “The good host”, a young female spectactor attends to a film cycle of Bigas Luna. Something in the atmosphere of the theatre will suggest her she is not in front of a conventional projection. When the lights turns off, this young lady is taken to an oniric stage where Bigas Luna will be the host and will take her to meet his inner self. The story will allow the audience to relive some sequences of his movies, like the Iberian landscapes of “Jamon, Jamon”, the Goyesques of “Volaverunt” or his more intimate memories portrait by “La teta y la luna”.

Bigas Luna passed away during the Spring of 2013, when he has about to start his last movie, “Segundo Origen”.
