Spies in the sand: Target Spain

Spies in the sand. Target Spain” tells the unknown story of a group of Spanish soldiers working for the American secret service during WWII.  Organised around the so called “Banana Operation”, the agents clandestinely disembarked in the coast of Malaga, in the South of Spain, to pave the way in the event of an hypothetical allied invasion of Spain.

This operation was part of the “Backbone Plan”, the Anglo-American strategy to invade Spain in case the country joined the Ax.
