En Portada unravels the biggest corruption scandal in the history of Argentina.
The driver of one Vice-Minister registered during 10 years all the bribes he cashed in. Justice is investigating it.
In Argentina it is known as “the bribe’s notebook”. Those are logs in eight notebooks of all the bribes received by the Vice-Minister of Planning under the governments of Néstor Kirchner and Cristina Fernández. According to the judge prosecuting this claim, more than 5,000 million of US dolars were raised as bribes in exchange of biddings for public contracts.
“The bribe way” tells how those notebooks were discovered, how they ended in the hands of the journalist of La Nacion, Diego Cabot, and how Justice has open a trial with 43 companies involved and more of 100 investigated people. Among them, several leaders of Kirchnerism and dozens of the most powerful businessmen in Argentina, including the family of the current President, Mauricio Macri.
