The last days of Lorca

In 1936, as Spain stood on the brink of the Civil War, Federico García Lorca returned to his native Granada, unaware that he was approaching the final days of his life. A few weeks later, the internationally acclaimed poet and playwright was arrested and executed. His body was never found, and the exact circumstances surrounding his death have remained shrouded in mystery for decades.

Through testimonies, historical documents and previously unseen archival material, this documentary reconstructs Lorca’s final days: his return to Granada, his refuge, his arrest, his captivity and the events that led to his execution.
